The Vancouver Park Board, is the elected board with exclusive possession, jurisdiction and control over public parks in Vancouver. With approximately 240 parks within the city limits the Parks and Rec chose a concrete pole primarily because it looked more historical and had great longevity. The Acorn post top fixture is historical in nature and fits the city landscape perfectly.
